Admittedly I have driven Japanese cars for years so I'm used to a tight responsive wheel feel. What kind of took me by surprise was the handling and wheel feel of the car. And for any car company to pull this off in it's first of type so completely is nothing short of amazing.ĭriving the car, the quietness takes you a little by surprise having never driven an electric car, but also it was kind of expected. Not only was it really the first of it's kind but it's a masterpiece of engineering from top to bottom. Every few pages you end up stopping and saying to yourself."wow they thought of that too - holy smokes!" You really have to applaud the GM engineers on this car.
If you read the manual before driving or owning the Volt you really get this sense that the engineers did a masterful job at thinking through of everything on this car. I'm probably a little more obsessed than most but admittedly before picking up my new Volt on Saturday morning the first thing I did last week was download and read the manual from front to back.
